Project Director - Human Capital Transaction Advisory Services
Are you a seasoned Human Capital professional with complementary expertise gained in large-scale, M&A due diligence?
Are you keen to join and play a pivotal role within a prominent, specialist practice where you'll take the lead on a variety of projects and advisory services in the pre-acquisition and post-deal M&A environments?
If so, then we'd love to hear from you in connection with this fantastic new opportunity with Aon's dynamic M&A Transactions Solutions (AMATS) practice situated at our flagship London office. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our London office.

Our global AMATS practice comprises Insurance, Human Capital, Cyber & Digital, Intellectual Property and ESG authorities with a dedicated focus on transactional activity. The Human Capital team you'd be joining provides human capital advisory services to strategic private equity and corporate clients, on buy-side and sell-side M&A opportunities.
While this role is focused in our M&A clients and projects, the AMATS Human Capital team works as part of Aon's Global Human Risk business which works with clients on projects across all areas of Human Capital labelled as Health (Benefits), Wealth (Retirement) and Talent (Human Resources)
What the day will look like
- Leading Human Capital due diligence advisory projects for private equity and corporate clients in support of their M&A processes. The diligence process includes a review of a target's human capital information provided in the data room, interviews with management, collection and tracking of requested information, gleaning and collation of relevant commentary and insights and production of high-quality reports.
- Driving project management engagement.
- Collaborating closely with clients and other top tier advisers.
- Coordinating internal Aon expertise, resources and solutions across various practices and geographies and building an internal network.
- Figuring out opportunities for cross-selling other Aon products, services, and solutions.
- Facilitating post-close implementation opportunities in our wider business.
- Building and encouraging client relationships.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- 5+ years' robust experience in M&A transactions, HR due diligence; M&A integration and harmonisation either in-house or in consultancy is essential
- Proven Human Capital and Employee Benefits expertise globally with a particular focus in the UK and EMEA such as consulting and/or in-house experience in retirement, health and other benefits, total rewards, employee experience and/or human resources, and providing advice related to some of these areas in the context of an M&A scenario
- Combining attention to detail with capability of thinking and advising at a strategic level
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and comfortable in leading discussions with clients and senior leaders
- Relevant qualifications in HR; C&B; Pensions/Actuary; etc is desirable
- Qualitative and quantitative data analysis and its articulation written/verbal
