Project Engineer (Engineering / Manufacturing)

Do you want to work for an engineering company who has full order books over the next few years, and who offers hybrid working and a great package? My client based in the Limavady area are a specialised engineering / manufacturing company who are one of the market leaders in their field.

They are currently going through a recruitment campaign to hire the best of the best staff at the moment. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join their already strong projects team. Salary is £34,000 - £44,000 depending on experience, hybrid working, pension, excellent holidays and an early finish every Friday.

Role

• Source suppliers based on the BOM and engineering specifications provided. Liaising with design engineers on suitable alternatives / variations when required
• Purchase equipment ensuring compliance to budget and company procedures
• Work with the Commercial Team to draw up individual project plans and budgets and ensure milestones are met
• Distribute documentation and drawings to subcontractor to ensure the correct revision is available for fabrication or assembly
• Regular visits to Subcontractors premises to co-ordinate and review production. Liaising with design team to ensure specifications are met and quality checks carried out prior to handover
• Ensure factory acceptance tests / quality checks are performed and documented

Person

• Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline (mechanical or similar)
• Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in a project engineering position or very similar role
