Overview Job title: Project Engineering Manager Location: Portsmouth - Broad Oak - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role. Salary: Up to £85,700 (dependent on skills and experience) Responsibilities
Manage the engineering development activities across multiple contracts to cost, time and quality and in compliance with BAE Systems engineering policies and processes, working closely with Design Authorities Line manage the team of work-package leads, Lead Training Solution Engineers, and Training Solution Engineers Delivery of projects to meet customer and contractual obligations for cost, quality, timeliness and specification, resolution of engineering conflicts between disciplines, systems and capabilities Integration and solution development to meet a coherent and prioritised set of demands, tailor and apply engineering processes, tools and approaches to develop innovative and creative solutions to contracts and specifications Provide accurate estimating, forecasting, tracking and status /progress reporting of engineering developments to the Project Manager, Simulation & Training management and wider Product and Training Services (P&TS) engineering functions
Your skills and experiences
Experience of engineering process and governance, and how to apply them within a project environment Experience of leading multi-discipline teams, resolving conflicts, driving performance and fostering collaboration Experience of delivering complex projects on time and to cost Ability to influence stakeholders and build strong internal and external relationships to achieve project and business objectives Financial and commercial awareness
The Training Analysis & Design team This role is based within the Training Analysis & Design team, part of the wider Simulation & Training function in the Products division of Maritime & Land Defence Solutions. The team is responsible for delivering training analysis and courseware design, with a strong focus on the maritime domain but also supporting land-based programmes. The primary project this role will support is the Type 26 (T26) training design programme, which is currently in its delivery phase. Closing Date Closing Date: 13th October 2025. #J-18808-Ljbffr
