The Role
As the Airspace Modernisation Project Lead, you will be responsible for the successful delivery programme of work containing a number of key high-profile projects within the Airspace Modernisation Delivery Team. These projects are key enablers for both the Airspace Modernisation Strategy and Future of Flight Programmes. You'll work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to bring project management discipline and drive delivery. This includes providing effective planning, project governance, risk, issue, and dependency management, whilst also working within the organisation's standard governance and processes.
This is a hands-on position which will rely on the role holder having excellent communications, people management and decision-making skills.
About You
The successful candidate will have experience of managing business projects throughout the whole life cycle. Ideally, with experience of working in a regulatory and/or policy development setting.
Essential
- Experience of working in change programmes and project portfolio environments
- Ability to plan, with demonstratable experience of creating and managing effective project and programme plans.
- A team player with a can-do attitude, focused on results and delivery.
- Strong enough to stand ground on key decisions, and willing and able to positively challenge stakeholders
- Able to work to tight timescales , and confidently seek solutions
- Procurement experience, both tendering and supplier management
- Experience of line management in both direct and matrix management environments
Desirable
- Knowledge and understanding of the Aviation Industry and business of the CAA and the environment in which it operates
- Formal Project Management qualifications such as Prince 2, APM or Agile

Salary: £49,007 to £65,343 dependant on experience
