We’re looking for a hands-on Project Manager to join our team.
If you’re super organised with a pragmatic but thorough view of project governance and love getting stuck-in driving change then you might just be the one.
You’ll work with the Change Lead and Analyst to complete our POD team, working with clients to deliver transformation projects.
This role would suit someone who is a true PM at heart but enjoys working as part of a multi-skilled team - you’d be running workshops, creating materials and making recommendations alongside driving the approach, managing the plan and keeping us all on track.

Responsibilities:
1.Project mobilisation
- Support project initiation to ensure there is a clear project scope and communicate this with our team and the client making sure we’re all on the same page.
- Drive the delivery strategy and advise on the project approach
- Engage key stakeholders to identify and mitigate risk
- Create & maintain project artefacts including the Plan, RAID, PID, Launch Approach and runbook
2.Project Execution
- Ensure the team can operate effectively by holding regular internal project team meetings and acting as the escalation point for blockers or concerns
- Work directly with key stakeholder groups to gather insights and feedback needed to continually shape the project approach
- Run project meetings with the client representatives and act as the escalation point for concerns and troubleshooting
- Engage the clients senior leadership team to keep them updated with progress
- Plan, lead and document meetings / workshops needed to drive forward decisions and other key project activity
- Provide relevant and timely status updates in various formats to keep key stakeholders informed
- Proactively manage actions, risks and decisions – escalating to the right person at the right time to avoid future challenges
3.Readiness and launch management
- Identify and manage go/no-go criteria
- Make recommendations on go live strategy and help identify training and comms requirements to support all parties through the change
- Work with stakeholders to identify all required launch activity and support them in execution
- Implement and manage early life support activity
4.Other responsibilities as required to support evolve continuous improvement
- Take the role of subject matter expert and support the project team in building their knowledge of the industry and change management practices
- Document / enhance our processes and templates during client down time
- Support business development activity from time to time e.g. by attending network events or supporting with proposals
Essential experience:
-5+ years project experience in any capacity, 2+ as a PM
-5+ years financial services experience (ops or change)
The ideal candidate would:
-Be an absolute whizz with 365 tools
-Enjoy taking the lead and using their initiative
-Be comfortable with stakeholder management across all levels of an organisation – be the go-to person for questions, bouncing ideas around and getting stuff done or just a listening ear and a cup of tea
-Be excellent at retaining and imparting knowledge in a way that brings clarity to a situation
-Have a skill for asking the right questions to gain a deeper understanding
-Have a great ability to connect the dots - understanding the implications of new information and the impact of decisions being made
-Have experience in Advice, Asset Management or Platform
-Have operational change / Target Operating Model experience
About us:
We’re a small consultancy who have been operating for over 6 years. We’ve worked with some big names in the finance industry to redesign their op models, deliver change and execute strategy. We have a people first approach to change and that applies to our team too, you’d be welcomed to the team with a robust onboarding plan designed to get you into the swing of the role quickly but without overwhelm. And we strive to create a highly supportive team environment day to day. That means daily walk & talk meetings, fortnightly Mission Control meetings and regular 1-1s as a few examples.
We usually work with advice networks, platforms, asset managers & Life Cos based in the U.K. so travel will be required.
The package:
- A salary range of at £50-70k pa plus pension. The range represents various entry points as we’re open to supporting the right person grow into the full scope of this role but equally would welcome anyone who could hit the ground running
- 28 days holiday including bank holidays, plus: 3 days off between Christmas and New Year, a day off for your birthday and extra days for life events like moving house, getting married or welcoming a pet
- While we don’t normally work bank holidays we also offer the option to swap your bank holiday days for any other holiday
- We’re currently hiring on a 6-12 month FTC basis due to the nature of our consultancy work but this has strong potential to extend based on current pipeline
- Hybrid working driven by project and client needs at any given time
