Overview

Project Manager – Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) role at Pershing Consultants. This is a remote position with potential flexibility to base from anywhere in the UK. The role involves managing EIA projects for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Programmes (NSIPs) and supporting a range of sustainable infrastructure projects across the UK from home or one of our offices.

We are Pershing Consultants, a human-centric engineering project partner supporting critical infrastructure development across the UK. We specialise in the project management of energy infrastructure projects including solar, wind, energy storage, hydrogen and nuclear. We have experience managing the full project lifecycle, from concept to commissioning, with a strong focus on quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day project management of EIAs and similar consenting and compliance programmes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including environmental consultants, planners, land agents, legal advisors and technical specialists.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, trackers, and risk registers.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, including clients, local authorities, statutory consultees, consultants, and landowners.
  • Support the preparation and submission of planning applications and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs).
  • Report regularly on project progress, budget, and key risks to senior stakeholders.

Requirements

  • UK based EIA and project management experience is essential.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects from conception through to completion.
  • Experience within energy infrastructure projects is desirable but not essential.
  • Understanding of the UK planning system, EIA regulations, and land acquisition processes.
  • Project management qualifications (e.g. APM, PRINCE2) desirable but not essential.
  • Able to manage competing deadlines across multiple projects.
