At HR Wallingford, we design smart, resilient solutions across the natural and built environments to help everyone live and work more sustainably with water. As a specialist water-focused consultancy, we build and test scale models to help us explore developments in the coastal and marine environments. Our facilities are some of the largest in the world. To support this work as well as the work of other national and international research and commercial facilities, we develop specialist equipment, software and instrumentation.

Our Equipment, Technology and Innovation (ET&I) group – a multi-disciplinary team of mechanical, electrical and software engineers – is focused on developing and supplying this equipment. Our product portfolio stretches across high-quality wave generation, hydrodynamic instrumentation and data acquisition systems used by universities and marine research facilities worldwide. We also design and supply remote platforms for survey-related activities on inland waterways. Innovation and customer focus are the keys to our success.

About the role

Due to our recent growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for Project Manager to join our team and use their project management experience to:

About you

You will need to utilise your proven project management experience to assist our teams in delivering projects exceeding £500,000 in a timely, cost-effective, and high-quality manner. Ideally, you should have a relevant qualification (such as APM) and/or several years of relevant experience in an engineering or science field.

While a diploma or degree in an engineering or science discipline would be beneficial, it is not mandatory. What we truly require is for you to take the lead in collaborating with our engineers to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
