Project Manager - Finance Transformation Oracle Implementation

We are partnering with a premier private equity firm that is undergoing a major finance transformation programme. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join on a 12-month contract, hybrid in London with occasional international collaboration. The role focuses on centralising finance operations into a global shared services model while driving the implementation of a new Oracle Cloud ERP system. This is a high-profile position with visibility to senior stakeholders across Finance, Change and Technology. The assignment is offered at £700-£850 per day via umbrella.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead a large-scale finance transformation project, overseeing scoping, planning and delivery against budget and timelines
  • Manage the transition of finance operational processes into an offshore shared services model, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and adoption
  • Oversee the implementation of a new ERP platform (Oracle), aligning system capabilities with group requirements and finance best practice
  • Act as the central liaison between Finance, Technology, Change, and external vendors, ensuring clear communication and stakeholder alignment
  • Establish and enforce governance frameworks, risk management protocols and reporting standards across the programme
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks, manage issues and dependencies, and oversee change requests throughout delivery
  • Provide leadership and structure to cross-functional teams, fostering accountability and collaborative delivery

What We Are Looking For In The Candidate

  • Proven track record as a senior Project Manager (10+ years) within a regulated financial services environment
  • Strong background in finance transformation programmes, ideally covering shared services transitions and ERP implementations
  • Hands-on experience with large ERP rollouts (Oracle Cloud / Oracle Fusion) and process improvement within AP or wider finance functions
  • Skilled at managing senior stakeholders across multiple locations, with excellent communication and reporting ability
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and influencing skills, with resilience in fast-paced environments

The role is due to commence ASAP; for the right candidate, a 1-month notice period may be accommodated. The team operates on a hybrid model of 3 days per week in the London office, with potential flexibility for candidates from other parts of the UK.

We look forward to receiving your application. If you require application or accessibility support, please contact your Marks Sattin or Grafton consultant to discuss your needs. We are committed to protecting the privacy of all candidates and clients.
