Job Title: Project Manager – Interior Fit Out, London

Division: Interior Fit-Out | Location: London | Contract Type: Permanent

Responsibilities

• Have overall management responsibility for all contracts under their control.
• Arrange and chair project handover meetings between the estimating team and operational team.
• Lead the project delivery team.
• Prepare progress reports, including discussing progress with supply chain partners for information relevant to the project.
• Coordinate trades, materials and deliveries to project requirements.
• Ensure that all works are planned and are being carried out safely on site.
• Ensure that site records are being kept and issued in a timely manner to the relevant Graham teams.
• Manage all plant on contracts under their control.
• Regularly report on all aspects of contracts to the Senior Contracts Manager/Contracts Directors.

• Manage Project Commercial Requirements: commercial management of all contracts to achieve set targets and liaison with the Graham commercial team to manage project performance.
• Manage change, record variations and communicate to the Graham team; assist with the development of the supply chain.

• Manage the supply chain: lead supply chain interviews for pre-work package appointments; issue approvals for work packages prior to appointment; arrange and hold subcontractor pre-start meetings; arrange performance review meetings; assist with developing the supply chain.

• Ensure adherence to best practice health and safety: responsibility for all SHE management on projects under their control; promote best practice across projects.

• Ensure positive client liaison: liaise with client teams on start-up particulars; manage client liaison and feedback; ensure project handovers meet client expectations; arrange and carry out defect resolutions.

• Ensure effective people management: management and development of all staff under their control; assist in recruitment as required within their team.

• Contribute to overall Fit Out business development: participate in senior management discussions on departmental development; keep up to date with legislative changes; assist in tender adjudication within the department.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the Fit Out industry with a commercial and programme background.
• Previous experience in a senior role; strong knowledge of commercial and contractual issues.
• Strong communication skills; able to work at a senior level; able to manage multiple workloads; experience leading a team to tight deadlines; client-focused environment experience.
• Ability to negotiate at a senior level; flexibility to work and travel on short-term projects across the UK; clean driving licence.
