LaunchDarkly’s Professional Services team is an elite team of experts who help companies achieve progressive delivery. Join our team as the first Professional Services Project Manager, where you will be a key contributor to the Revenue team by leading the successful delivery of complex technical projects. Your experience in project management, software development, and technical expertise will be critical in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of projects.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, leaders, and stakeholders, to define project scope, develop project plans, and manage project timelines and budgets. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage project risks will be essential in ensuring project success. As a Professional Services Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving innovation and delivering value to our clients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
- Lead Professional Services engagements designed to optimize our clients’ software delivery processes, aligning their strategies with industry best practices for improved efficiency and innovation.
- Design and guide the project planning and delivery for multiple implementation engagements.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
- Facilitate project meetings and ensure action items are tracked and completed on time.
- Manage timelines, deliverables, risks, and overall project health to minimize risk and ensure successful completion of engagements.
- Work collaboratively with Professional Services leadership to identify and improve on the team’s project management processes and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Foster a robust technical partnership between LaunchDarkly and its customers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and maximizing value across all touchpoints.
- Assist the team in breaking down work into manageable tasks and estimating effort.
- Identify and work to resolve technical obstacles that hinder value realization, enabling customers to achieve their objectives more effectively.
Qualifications:
- You have 7+ years of experience within SaaS companies or similar product organizations or technology consulting firms, and a track record of managing large-scale projects and programs.
- 5+ years in Professional Services, Technical Consulting, GTM, or Success in customer-facing roles managing client relationships and delivering successful project outcomes.
- You are proficient with both Project Management and Professional Services Automation tools.
- You are experienced in leading teams through implementing the full software development lifecycle with multiple years of experience in an enterprise environment.
- You have led projects focusing on leading teams through the development process transformation.
- You have experience with leading projects from scoping to production and account maturation.
- You learn and synthesize large amounts of information and are adept at acquiring the context you need to make prescriptive recommendations to our customers.
- You have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, but the discipline and focus to know where your attention is most needed.
- You are a self-starter and excited to take on hard problems.
- You are passionate about helping customers and have a strong sense of ownership.
- You can effectively communicate with experts from different backgrounds and build strong stakeholder relationships.
- You can convey technical concepts in a clear, concise, and business-relevant manner.
- You are a deeply curious individual who is not comfortable with just getting enough context to give an answer. You feel the need to understand how things work underneath.
- Experience with JIRA, PSA tooling (e.g., Precursive), Trello, Salesforce
- PMP Certification
- You have worked in a Professional Services organization previously.
- You have worked with the services of one of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Pay: Target pay ranges based on Geographic Zones for Level P4:
- Zone 1: San Francisco/Bay Area or NYC Metropolitan Area, Boston, Seattle — 149,000 to 204,000 USD
- Zone 2: Irvine, LA, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, Austin, Portland, Philadelphia, Chicago — 134,000 to 184,000 USD
- Zone 3: All other US locations — 126,000 to 174,000 USD

Within the United States, our geographic pay zones are defined by counties surrounding major metropolitan areas.
