Cedar are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead the development and implementation of a cutting-edge Driver Simulator Project for one of the UK's leading train operating companies. Based in Central London, this role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of rail innovation, enhancing driver training and operational safety through immersive simulation technology.
As Project Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering the driver simulator from concept to completion - ensuring alignment with safety standards, training objectives, and operational needs. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, simulator suppliers, technical experts, and key stakeholders across the business.
The role is hybrid working (3 days in the office) and has been classed Outside IR35
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the driver simulator project on time and within budget.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including internal departments, suppliers, and external partners.
- Develop detailed project plans, risk assessments, and progress reports.
- Ensure integration with existing training programs and compliance with rail industry standards.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in simulator capability and training outcomes.
- Proven experience in project management, ideally within the transport, engineering, or technology sector.
- Strong understanding of simulator technology, training environments, or driver operations is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification preferred.
- Ability to manage complex projects in a regulated environment.
