Project Manager role at Bovis. We are recruiting for Project Managers with aviation build and infrastructure project experience.

Responsibilities

  • Determine project management, technical services and external resources required for the project on an individual and team basis.
  • Plan, lead and manage a project team to deliver integrated, sustainable solutions that meet the project brief.
  • Establish strong working relationships with partners and key stakeholders at all levels, ensuring requirements are captured with approvals in place.
  • Lead end-to-end execution planning with clear goals, roles and deliverables.
  • Ensure integrated design, development, commissioning, delivery and process requirements are met.
  • Report project performance using project control tools, including earned value and quantitative risk analysis.
  • Ensure thorough management of deliverables and team safety.
  • Collaborate with the construction manager/delivery team and external resources to deliver the project in line with stakeholder expectations and communicate strategies to the team.
  • Manage consultant teams and project stakeholders to ensure responsibilities are completed (scope, fees, claims, deliverables, variations, etc.).
  • Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills to support client focus.
  • Maintain and ensure submissions meet milestones; proactively accelerate schedules if required.
  • Produce design and authorities programmes integrated with procurement and delivery programmes.
  • Manage timely delivery to programme for concept, schematic, detailed design and design development in line with milestones.
  • Assist with sequencing/methodology and production of stating plans.

Experience & background

  • Experience delivering complex projects within live operational environments.
  • Strong focus on health, safety, quality and environmental matters on projects.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management and/or construction-related disciplines, with demonstrable knowledge.
  • Knowledge of construction and property industries, estimating, scheduling, supervision, contracts administration, procurement, financial controls and reporting.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills for resolving planning, estimating, contract administration and procurement issues.
  • Interpersonal skills to prepare reports, negotiate and build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in leading project teams in highly regulated environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of planning and implementing complex projects with multiple stakeholder interfaces.
  • Track record of delivering integrated and sustainable solutions to meet project briefs.
  • Experience in end-to-end service delivery in project management commissions.
  • Experience communicating project deliverables across complex regulated industries.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and influencing across internal and external teams.

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Familiarity with tender documents and negotiations in large-scale commercial environments.
  • Airport experience or other multi-disciplinary/transport infrastructure experience.
