Project Risk Manager – Major Infrastructure & Defence Programmes

Location: London (Hybrid – 2–3 days in office)

Salary: £65,000 – £90,000 + Car Allowance + Private Medical + Life Insurance

Contract Type: Permanent | Full-Time (although contract options are available.)

We’re hiring an experienced Risk Manager to support the delivery of complex, high-value infrastructure and defence programmes across the UK.

This is a key role within a consultancy-led environment, providing risk leadership across nationally significant transportation, civil engineering, and defence assets. You’ll lead on strategy, facilitate workshops, and apply advanced quantitative analysis to support informed decision-making throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Risk Management – Design and implement full risk frameworks across cost, schedule, and delivery
• Facilitate Risk Workshops – Engage with project teams to identify and assess risks aligned to programme objectives
• Quantitative Analysis – Run QCRA and QSRA using Monte Carlo techniques and tools such as @Risk, Primavera Risk, or Safran
• Maintain and Update Risk Registers – Ensure risks are actively monitored, reported, and mitigated in line with governance structures
• Reporting & Dashboards – Develop clear, actionable reports and dashboards (e.g. Power BI) to support project leadership
• Compliance & Control – Ensure all processes meet client and contractual expectations (e.g. NEC, gated review frameworks)

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in risk management on large-scale infrastructure, transportation, or defence projects
• Strong knowledge of cost and schedule risk analysis, QCRA/QSRA, and Monte Carlo modelling
• Hands-on with tools like @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis, Safran Risk, Predict! or equivalent
• Confident facilitator and communicator, able to work across delivery, planning, and commercial teams
• Degree-qualified or equivalent experience in a relevant technical or project discipline
• Eligible to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
