Property Litigation Solicitor – Associate (2–5 PQE)

Location: Manchester / Hybrid

Three / Two Split

I’m currently working with a highly regarded national practice seeking to appoint a Property Litigation Solicitor (2–5 years PQE) into their expanding Dispute Resolution team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Associate to join a modern, well-structured commercial practice with high-quality work and clear progression pathways.

The Role

This position offers a 70/30 split between commercial and residential property litigation, with a strong emphasis on complex commercial real estate disputes. You’ll be joining a supportive national team known for its technical excellence, collaborative culture, and impressive client base across sectors including retail, development, investment, and asset management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Running a broad caseload of commercial property disputes, including:
  • Lease renewals (1954 Act)
  • Dilapidations
  • Forfeiture and possession
  • Rent and service charge disputes
  • Breach of covenant
  • Landlord and tenant advisory work
  • Handling a smaller caseload of residential property disputes, often on behalf of institutional landlords or portfolio clients.
  • Managing matters from instruction through to resolution, including mediation, settlement negotiations, and litigation.
  • Drafting pleadings, correspondence, notices and advice notes.
  • Working closely with the wider Real Estate and Commercial Litigation teams.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships; involvement in networking and BD initiatives is encouraged.
  • Supervising and supporting junior team members where appropriate (depending on PQE).

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor with 2–5 years PQE in property litigation.
  • Strong grounding in commercial landlord & tenant law; exposure to residential disputes is beneficial but not essential.
  • Confident managing your own caseload with appropriate support.
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills, with a commercial, solutions-focused approach.
  • Keen to grow your expertise and progress within a national team.
  • Team player with strong client‑care skills and a proactive attitude.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary and bonus structure (DOE).
  • Hybrid working with excellent work‑life balance.
  • High‑quality national‑level work and exposure to major clients.
  • Genuine opportunities for progression within a supportive team.
  • Ongoing professional development and mentoring.
