Proposals Manager (Earth & Environment) role at WSP in the UK & Ireland. The Earth & Environment Proposals Team plays a crucial role in positioning WSP to win profitable business and drive growth. We work without borders to bring the best of our global capabilities to deliver the right skills for our clients. As a growing and ambitious market leading organisation with sustainability at the heart of what we do, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of opportunities across all sectors. Working with 1,500 technical specialists in more than 50 service areas, no two bids will be the same. You will gain the opportunity to work on landmark projects that shape communities and the environment, making a positive difference both locally and globally.

Responsibilities

  • Manage opportunities through the WSP Work Winning Lifecycle (Capture, Bid Prep, Qualification, RFP, Lessons learned, Handover).
  • Follow WSP best practice and comply with internal governance requirements.
  • Influence and communicate at a senior level whilst managing interfaces with the wider proposals team, other UK/global business streams and partners.
  • Facilitate the development of delivery solutions, winning bid strategies and key messages.
  • Work with technical authors to write and review impactful, tailored and compelling content.
  • Support project teams in preparing for interviews.
  • Acting as a hub of best practice and knowledge for proposals.
  • Acting as a mentor for junior members in the team.

What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate

  • Qualified to degree level in an appropriate subject
  • APMP Foundation as a minimum
  • Knowledge of services/proposals within the Environmental and Earth Sciences discipline is preferred.
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication, with a collaborative approach.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise.
  • Excellent command of language for editing text and response writing.
  • Robust project management skills with a meticulous approach to detail and quality.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A passion for quality and continuous improvement with a focus on delivery.
  • A self motivated, proactive approach, using initiative and taking responsibility for own actions.
  • Ability to assimilate large volumes of information and understand, plan and manage associated workflows.
  • An interest in using new and evolving digital bidding techniques
