The London Boroughs of Richmond upon Thames and Wandsworth are home to an award-winning Public Health Team—and we’re looking for a dynamic Public Health Lead to join us. This is a fixed-term contract for 18 months.
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Lead the development of a borough-wide public mental health strategy for Wandsworth.
- Drive cross-council collaboration, identifying and embedding programmes that improve mental wellbeing.
- Champion mental wellbeing impact assessments across policies and services.
- Work with NHS and voluntary sector partners to maximise the reach and impact of mental health initiatives.
- You’ll also support the local suicide prevention strategy, shape strategic commissioning plans, and provide expert public health advice on high-impact projects.
- Brings vision, creativity, and leadership to public health challenges.
- Has a strong track record of partnership working across sectors.
- Is passionate about reducing health inequalities and improving outcomes for vulnerable communities.
