What Is the Opportunity?

Are you an ambitious leader with a keen interest in, and passion for, the Public Sector? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to drive a specialist culture, develop and implement our progressive growth plans, and take responsibility for the portfolio P&L.

Although not essential, our ideal candidate will have experience in Public Sector Insurance. However, what is very important is your expertise in leading and developing teams and driving a portfolio strategy.

Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility for employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy. This entails full-time employees working three days a week in the office and two days at home (or pro-rata for part-time employees). This policy may be changed at the Company’s discretion.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Profitability: Execute long and short-term business and underwriting strategies to achieve profit and growth objectives.
  2. Participate in strategic business planning to increase market presence, retain the right business mix, and meet growth and profit goals.
  3. Monitor portfolio profitability and achievement via management information (MI) reports.
  4. Establish underwriting and marketing standards reflecting market conditions and company goals.
  5. Marketing/Underwriting: Direct all marketing and underwriting activities to meet profitability objectives, maintain broker relationships, and represent the company in the community.
  6. Leading the Team: Manage the delivery of excellent customer and broker service, develop relationships with other business units, and hire and develop staff through inclusive leadership.
