A leading UK-based Managed IT Services and Technology Solutions provider is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Purchasing & Logistics Manager to take ownership of a strategic IT and software distribution category (c. £20m spend) while coordinating procurement activities across the wider group (c. £40m additional spend).
Contract: Permanent • Reports to: Chief Information Officer (CIO)
This role supports a wide range of customers – from SMEs to enterprise – with managed IT, cloud, cyber security, and connectivity solutions, and is committed to driving innovation and best practice in procurement across multiple entities.
What You’ll Be Doing
Category Ownership – IT & Software Distribution (~£20m spend)
- Lead sourcing, RFPs, and contract negotiations for IT and software distribution suppliers
- Manage supplier relationships, pricing, SLAs, and commercial terms across the group
- Track supplier performance, contractual compliance, rebates, and risk via standardised reporting
- Coordinate supplier accreditations and partnership programmes
- Act as the primary point of contact for both suppliers and internal stakeholders
Group Procurement Coordination
- Support and align Lead Buyers across other spend categories
- Drive consistency in sourcing processes, supplier tracking, and reporting
- Consolidate group procurement dashboards and KPIs
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and operational best practice
- Provide hands-on procurement support for selected high-impact projects
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years’ procurement or sourcing experience
- Proven success in running RFPs, negotiating contracts, and delivering savings
- Strong exposure to IT-related categories (ideally hardware and/or distribution)
- Experience in multi-entity or decentralised procurement environments
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Highly organised, structured, and rigorous in supplier management
- Advanced Excel skills; Power BI or similar reporting tool experience preferred
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as NetSuite advantageous
