Quality Advisor

1 Days Old

Would you like to be part of Mencap's Quality Team?

We are hiring two new Quality Advisors to join our current team of 7 national Quality Advisors. We are hiring due to a promotion in the team, and would love to welcome candidates from all backgrounds to apply. We are a welcoming, friendly, and curious team, and we would love to see someone who complements this as part of our team!

What will you do?

Our Quality Advisors work with our direct services to provide support to more than 5,000 people across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. We are all committed to making sure people can expect and receive the best possible support. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing assurance visits
  • Reviewing complaints, compliments, mortality reviews, and whistle-blows
  • Providing advice
  • Identifying learning from these reviews

This means a successful applicant should:

  • Feel confident in making judgments that support is safe and reliable
  • Be enthusiastic and promote practices that encourage colleagues to support people to have great experiences and outcomes
  • Advise our skilled and committed teams on how to bridge gaps and recognize great practice

Where will you work?

As a Quality Advisor, you will primarily work from home, supporting teams across all three nations. The right candidate must be able to travel across our services and stay away from home regularly. You will work closely with colleagues outside our team, building relationships. While you won't have line management duties, you will be responsible for managing your own diary and delivering agreed work within your working week.

Would you benefit from flexible working?

We encourage and promote flexible working and reasonable adjustments, especially considering the impact of working away. Please discuss with us if flexible working would benefit you. We are happy to make reasonable adjustments during the interview process as well.

Does this sound like you?

If so, please submit your up-to-date CV and a cover letter explaining your motivation and how your personality and values align with our organization. We value diversity and inclusivity, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
