Role: Quantitative Analyst

Location: London (UK)

Type: Full-time (Hybrid)

Role Overview: We are seeking a Quantitative Analyst to join the Trading & Risk Department. The successful candidate will develop, test, and implement models that drive trading, hedging, and risk management decisions. You will work closely with data engineers, traders, and risk managers to ensure models are based on robust datasets and aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain quantitative models for risk management, pricing, and trading strategy evaluation.
  • Perform statistical and econometric analysis on large trading datasets (client flow, exposures, market data).
  • Contribute to the development of hedging frameworks (VaR, stress testing, scenario analysis, behavioral hedging).
  • Backtest and validate trading and risk models.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to design efficient research and production pipelines.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Finance.
  • Strong background in probability, statistics, data analysis, and data modeling.
  • Proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, scipy, statsmodels, scikit-learn).
  • Experience with SQL and data analysis on large datasets.
  • Knowledge of financial markets.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a brokerage, trading desk, fund, or bank.
  • Exposure to risk models (VaR, CVaR, PCA, copulas).
  • Knowledge of option pricing models and derivatives Greeks.
  • Understanding of trading platforms and reporting infrastructure.
  • Experience with machine learning methods applied to financial data.
