We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and strategic Quantity Surveyor to join our high-performing Energy South commercial team. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical capabilities, a meticulous eye for detail, and a passion for making informed, data-driven decisions.

Youll play a key role in overseeing commercial performance, providing leadership within the team, and ensuring the successful financial delivery of our projects.

• Managing subcontractor accounts and overseeing performance
• Supporting the Commercial Manager and providing oversight of the wider commercial team
• Addressing and resolving client disputes, as well as leading internal audits
• Maintaining and monitoring the commercial risk register
• Verifying measurements during weekly valuations to ensure accuracy
• Carrying out cost analysis and identifying opportunities for cost savings
• Reviewing contracts and analysing rates for competitiveness and compliance
• Producing detailed Cost Value Reports (CVRs) across all active projects
  
  

• Brings extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
• Has a track record of compiling complex subcontract orders, ensuring effective risk allocation and supporting operational delivery
• Demonstrates exceptional commercial and communication skills, confidently engaging with clients and leading internal stakeholders
• Is invested in the development of their team, offering guidance and mentorship to junior staff
• Possesses a charismatic and influential communication style, with the ability to land key messages effectively
• Has advanced Excel skills and a data-driven mindset
• Holds a degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or has significant relevant experience in a similar commercial role
