Recruitment Consultant – Commodities & Trading Markets

Location: Brighton or Soho Office (2 days per week WFH)

Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE + 30-45% Commission

A specialist executive search firm is hiring an experienced Recruitment Consultant to lead and grow a high-performing Commodities desk. This is a chance to build on warm relationships and a strong brand presence within the global trading and industrial supply chain markets.

The team regularly works on executive-level projects for global names in procurement, supply chain, and commodity trading, with fee values frequently exceeding £100k – and occasionally as high as £300k. You'll be walking into a business with deep expertise, high levels of inbound work, and a culture focused on performance without micromanagement.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading search projects into commodities, logistics, or supply chain markets
• Working closely with retained clients on senior and specialist hiring campaigns
• Developing warm client accounts within trading, industrials, or manufacturing
• Partnering with a delivery team who handle research and candidate engagement
• Operating with full autonomy – no vanity metrics or KPIs

Ideal Profile

• 360 recruitment experience in commodities, energy, trading, or adjacent sectors
• Alternatively, experience placing tech talent into trading markets is highly desirable
• A consultative, client-led approach with strong relationship-building skills
• Experience with retained or senior-level search projects preferred
• Comfortable operating at pace on complex, high-value assignments
