Overview

Vella Recruitment is a boutique, specialist and growing recruitment agency based in Turkey Mill, Maidstone, Kent. We are looking to speak to people with experience in (either directly or recruiting for) professional services (across the Built Environment ideally but we are open to other industries) to join our team of five. We have exciting plans in the next couple of years—let's have a chat!

THE HEADLINES:

  • Title: Recruitment Consultant
  • Experience required: 0-3 years (ideally)
  • Location: Maidstone (ME14 5SS)
  • Hybrid working: Yes (Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in the office; Tuesdays and Fridays from home). Flexible start times (between 8 and 10am) and flexible lunch hours. Part-time options available.

Responsibilities

  • Source and recruit for roles across Town Planning, Economics, EIA, Stakeholder Engagement and related markets.
  • Grow your own desk with clear progression routes and incentives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and candidates to deliver quality hires.
  • Collaborate within a small, culture-driven team that prioritises quality and relationship-building over broad numerical targets.
  • Contribute to a supportive, flexible work environment with social events and incentives.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Experience: 0-3 years (ideally).
  • Location: Maidstone, ME14 5SS.
  • Employment type: Full-time.

Compensation and benefits

  • Salary: £24,000+, plus on-target earnings (OTE). Commission rate: 25% above threshold, with no confusing tiers or conditions.
  • Benefits: 20 days annual leave + bank holidays + 2 weeks off for Christmas, discretionary Christmas bonus, health cash plan (covering treatments such as eye tests, physiotherapy, dental hygiene) and family coverage.
  • Additional incentives: Company holidays, away days, lunches, dinners, monthly/quarterly/yearly incentives, and opportunities to grow your own team.
