Overview

The Samsung Refurb Sales & Operations Program Manager is responsible for coordinating, executing, and refining the refurbished devices program for SEUK. This role covers the entire device refurbishment cycle, including device sourcing, inspection, grading, repair, refurbishment, quality control, logistics, and channel sales. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of the mobile device market. Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership and Coordination: Lead and coordinate the refurbished devices taskforce, overseeing weekly cross-functional activities to ensure the successful execution of the end-to-end program and its development gates.
  • Strategic Reviews and Reporting: Set, steer and lead weekly, quarterly, and long-term reviews across the Refurb Taskforce, SteerCo, Europe and HQ. Share SEUK business insights, sales and revenue forecasting, and program feedback.
  • End-to-End Sales Process Optimisation: Deliver a smooth and efficient refurb end-to-end sales process by building strong internal cross-functional networks and fostering external partner and customer relationships.
  • Financial Performance Management: Drive revenue growth and RV development by maintaining a clear understanding and effective management of financial KPIs.
  • Business Project Evolution: Manage the continuous evolution of refurb business projects through cross-functional and virtual teams, identifying opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Strategic Planning and Analysis: Conduct regular planning and analysis to uncover opportunities and gaps, providing solutions that drive positive revenue growth.
  • Market Intelligence and Relationship Management: Maintain relationships with key partners and customers to drive revenue growth. Leverage market intelligence, trends, and marketing dynamics to develop quarterly and annual plans.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with European and HQ Teams and SEUK D2C, CX, Supply Chain, BI, Logistics, Marketing and Sales Teams to design effective end-to-end operations and launch plans for refurbished products.
  • Inventory Management: Effectively manage device inventory with accurate reporting on quantity and condition at each stage.
  • Reporting and Presentation: Prepare detailed performance and market intelligence reports and present findings to the SteerCo with clear communication of program performance and insights.
  • Industry Knowledge and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest technologies and advancements in the electronics industry to align with market trends and opportunities.

What We Need For This Role

To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • University degree or equivalent experience (preferably with Business/Commercial direction)
  • Experience in carrier, retail or distribution handling commercial relationships
  • Excellent negotiation and commercial skills
  • Broad experience of GTM, channel operations, secondary market and working across virtual teams
  • Involvement in developing strategic commercial programmes
  • Strong communication & presentation skills
  • Experience working independently and managing tight deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

  • Sales team development, mentorship, empowerment and leadership
  • Extensive secondary market mobile device experience and a strong understanding of the UK landscape
  • Strong financial skills including forecasting, modelling, pricing and RV understanding
  • Relevant experience of consumer finance and innovation in commercial model development

  • Experience developing insight and data-led strategies
  • Experience working collaboratively in teams and as an individual
