Regional Marketing Leader, Guy Carpenter UK and Europe
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Global Marketing team at Marsh McLennan. The role, based in London, is hybrid with a requirement to work in the office at least three days a week. As Regional Marketing Leader, you will lead marketing initiatives for Guy Carpenter in the United Kingdom and Europe, reporting to the Global Marketing and Communications Leader.
The successful candidate will develop commercially focused marketing campaigns that support business objectives, collaborate with business stakeholders to shape the thought‑leadership agenda, and partner with global content teams to deliver reports, articles, podcasts, and other insights. You will work closely with Marketing COEs—Events, PR, Creative, and Digital Marketing—to create compelling, relevant campaign assets and ensure cohesive delivery across channels.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Guy Carpenter Subject Matter Experts and the global content team to develop thought‑leadership strategies, create messaging, and produce assets such as email marketing tailored to regional and local clients.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand focus areas and client needs, designing fit‑for‑purpose marketing campaigns that align with overall strategy and support regional deployment.
- Build compelling marketing propositions and plans that position the business effectively in key market segments and countries.
- Work closely with the Digital Marketing COE to leverage all digital marketing aspects for enhanced client/prospect engagement, support activation, and drive lead generation, improving website UX and client journey.
- Foster collaboration across marketing and communications teams to share best practices, ensure integrated and efficient campaign delivery, and maintain consistency across practice areas.
- Engage key internal stakeholders, including sales teams, to create advocates, generate engagement, and amplify campaign activity in alignment with Go‑to‑Market strategies and sales materials.
- Monitor and communicate progress against budget goals at both client and campaign levels, securing approval for all spend with the CMO.
- Ensure marketing activities comply with best practices, policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Build awareness of the wider marketplace to identify opportunities for timely and topical marketing and PR initiatives.
- Support the business in creating and updating value propositions and product and solutions collateral.
- Develop activation plans for content and products based on themes, target audiences, and business priorities.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of marketing and communications experience (preferably in reinsurance or insurance).
- Experience in a large, complex, matrixed environment, collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
- Extensive experience across all marketing disciplines and delivery channels, with a proven ability in digital marketing, analytics, and ROI measurement.
- Experience building B2B brands and managing multiple marketing programs for different lines of business.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with influencing and negotiation abilities at senior executive levels.
- Effective relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
- Project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Team‑oriented, highly motivated self‑starter with a track record of collaboration across teams.
- Flexible, adaptive, and innovative with strong attention to detail and structured thinking.

- Hands‑on experience with marketing technologies: automation, data and analytics, customer journey mapping.
- Strong knowledge of digital products such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Manager, and social media channels.
- Client‑centric focus translating internal propositions into client‑friendly, value‑adding campaigns.
- Ability to communicate complex business, legal, and technical issues to diverse audiences.
- Trusted advisor to senior executives, cultivating relationships with senior leaders and influencers.
- Ability to build teams without direct reports through coaching, credibility, and leadership.
- Supervisory and mentoring experience.
