Regional Quality Manager (TIER-1 CONSTRUCTION FIRM) South-West

New Today

Overview

My prestigious client, a Tier 1 Construction firm, is looking to appoint a proven, battle-scarred Quality Manager to lead quality management across the South West region. This newly created position places you at the forefront of quality management, embedding the highest standards across regional projects and offices.

The role is a key leadership position spanning the full project life cycle — before, during, and after construction — with a focus on compliance, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing. You will chair meetings, present to the board when needed, and be a hands-on do-er who can get things done in the right way.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting projects with quality systems, inspections, and compliance checks to meet legal, contractual, and manufacturer requirements.
  • Driving best practice by ensuring teams use the correct processes, systems, and tools, while providing training, guidance, and technical support.
  • Monitoring performance through on-site inspections, NCR (non-conformance report) analysis, audits, and defect investigations, ensuring issues are addressed and lessons are embedded.
  • Developing improvements to management systems, procedures, and inspection processes, working with project teams and the supply chain to raise standards.
  • Reporting and assurance by producing monthly quality reports for Regional Directors and summary updates for the main Board. The role maintains ISO compliance, supports project teams in quality delivery, and champions continuous improvement across the region.

Requirements and expectations

Your remit is regional, with travel to various client sites across the South West as needed. There is an option to work from home where appropriate. The salary is up to £75,000 plus a £6,500 car allowance/scheme, and an attractive wider package.

About the role and candidate profile

This is a newly formed role in a business at the forefront of its sector. You should bring a Tier 1 Construction background, be highly professional, and comfortable chairing meetings and engaging with senior leadership. The successful candidate will be a proactive operator who can deliver results and drive quality culture across multiple high-profile, multi-million construction projects.

Location and contact

Travel across the South West to client sites as required; some flexibility for remote working. For immediate consideration, contact Laura Buck.
