The Area Sales Manager is responsible for implementing the Insulation division's commercial strategy for the distribution and specification segment in their sector. They promote the URSA and Superglass product range, develop, and maintain Etex UK Insulation Ltd's turnover with building material distributors, contractors, and other specifiers in their area of responsibility.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and implement tailored commercial strategies to maximize profitability within your assigned territory.
- Design and execute medium- and long-term sales action plans aligned with national business development goals.
- Plan and manage customer visits effectively, targeting key decision-makers with customized value propositions.
- Identify new business opportunities and build a strong pipeline of prospects to grow market share.
- Strengthen relationships within the existing customer base by offering solutions aligned with their needs and promoting new products.
- Lead commercial negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes and sustained profitability.
- Support product demonstrations and assist with implementation at customer sites when required.
- Promote regional sales campaigns and marketing initiatives as defined by the Management Team.
- Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
- Keep CRM systems updated regularly, maintaining accurate and timely sales data.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance sales tools and materials.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform strategy and stay ahead.
- Contribute to cross-functional project teams and working groups.
- Manage customer concerns in coordination with internal support teams to ensure fast, effective resolutions.
- Take ownership of volume, pricing, and margin targets for your region in line with company objectives.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven sales experience within the construction industry.
- Ideally, knowledge of external facades or building envelope solutions.
- Strong background in account management, specification selling, and business development.
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach with excellent communication skills.
- Confident using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
- Self-motivated with a strategic mindset and a hands-on attitude.
