We are looking for a caring night Nurse (RGN) 1 night a week 9pm to 7am and/or Relief Nurses (RGN) to join our registered care service in St Albans, Hertfordshire. In this role, you'll provide high-quality nursing support to adults with learning disabilities, working alongside a dedicated team to help each person lead a fulfilling and supported life.

How Relief Hours Work

Our relief roles are designed with flexibility in mind it's a bit like a zero-hours contract, but with all the benefits. You choose when you’re available to work, so there’s no pressure to take shifts that don’t suit your schedule.

We offer these flexible contracts because we believe they suit you. And with over 95% of our staff in permanent positions, you'll have the opportunity to apply for a full-time contract when the time is right for you.

The Relief Nurse (Bank) role helps cover shifts when regular staff are on annual leave, training, or absent. This means your hours will vary, but your manager will work with you to balance the needs of the service with your work-life balance. Rotas are usually planned a month in advance, but additional shifts may become available due to unexpected absences.

About the Role

As a Relief Nurse, you’ll join a compassionate team providing 24-hour support to 12 wonderful people with a variety of disabilities, in a friendly and homely environment. You’ll be able to build meaningful relationships with the people we support, getting to know them and understanding their unique care needs.

About you

You will need to be a registered nurse with clinical nursing experience. You will be supporting a variety of conditions, including the management of PEG feeds, catheters and stomas.
