Regulatory & Compliance / Environmental Lawyer - Utilities sector - West Midlands (hybrid)

We are working with a household name in the utilities sector in their search for an experienced Regulatory & Compliance Lawyer, and or, Environmental / Health & Safety Lawyer.

On the back of recent groundbreaking & seismic changes relating to the regulation of the industry, the business is looking to add a lawyer who is experienced and passionate about this area of law to play a key role within the organisation.

Working alongside other senior compliance lawyers, you will be responsible for managing the relationship with the regulatory bodies, as well as horizon scanning & ensuring the organisation stays on the front foot, and well-protected from a regulatory perspective. You will also advise the business on its response to investigations and prosecutions, so the role is a mix of contentious and non-contentious matters.

The role would be suitable for a lawyer already working in-house in a regulated tangible sector, who is seeking a more strategic role with a higher level of impact and influence.

Or, alternatively, if you are currently working in a law firm, then this is a highly supportive legal team with a fantastic track record of creating skilled in house lawyers who have joined from private practice.

The business is operating a hybrid working policy so some office contact is required in the West Midlands office.
