This role, within the second line of the company's three lines of defence risk management model, will support management to manage regulatory compliance risks and oversee the first line of defence. The position plays a key role in promoting a culture of integrity and compliance across both retail and online licensed entities. As a Regulatory Compliance Manager, you'll join a team of professionals dedicated to maintaining regulatory compliance in the UK market, including key areas such as LCCP, AML/CTF, KYC, and responsible gambling obligations.

What you will be doing

  • Keep up to date with relevant regulatory changes and best practices to maintain compliance
  • Develop, update, and improve safer gambling policies and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable regulations and deliver the right outcomes for customers
  • Provide guidance to first-line teams and product teams on interpreting compliance and safer gambling requirements
  • Ensure the business operates in full compliance with relevant gambling laws and regulations
  • Stay updated on changes to relevant legislation, regulations, LCCP, and industry best practices
  • Support company-wide training initiatives for safer gambling
  • Ensure appropriate governance and decision-making in line with UK Gambling Commission expectations and internal UK Compliance Committee structure
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain a strong compliance culture across the business

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in compliance, legal, or risk management roles within a heavily regulated sector, ideally with exposure to the betting and gaming industry
  • Understanding of LCCP, AML/CTF requirements, and relevant guidance and best practices, along with experience in GB and Gibraltar licensing and compliance assessments
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across the business and with external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to lead and manage compliance programs and teams, with organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office
