Regulatory Liquidity Risk Assurance Manager — London. A global financial services firm is seeking to hire a Liquidity Risk Assurance Manager within its risk function. The role sits in a specialist assurance team and provides independent review, challenge, and oversight of the firm’s liquidity risk frameworks, regulatory submissions, and compliance with UK and international regulations.
Responsibilities
- Review and test the effectiveness of liquidity risk frameworks, policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements (e.g., LCR, NSFR, ICAAP, ILAAP).
- Perform assurance assignments, including detailed fieldwork, documentation, and reporting of findings to senior risk management.
- Evaluate regulatory liquidity submissions and challenge process owners on completeness and accuracy.
- Support the tracking of remedial actions and monitor the closure of risk control issues.
- Contribute to the development and updating of assurance methodologies and best practice.
- Liaise effectively with treasury, finance, regulatory reporting, and internal audit stakeholders.
Experience Required
- 3–5+ years’ experience in liquidity risk, treasury regulatory reporting, risk assurance, or a closely related field (banking, consultancy, or regulatory environment).
- Familiar with UK/EU liquidity regulations and reporting requirements (LCR, NSFR, ICAAP/ILAAP, PRA/BoE rules).
- Demonstrated ability to analyse risk frameworks, test processes, and write clear, actionable reports.
- Previous experience in a risk oversight, second line, regulatory reporting, or internal/external audit function desirable.
- Sound communication skills and the confidence to constructively challenge process owners.
