We ensure that companies are disposing of their waste correctly by enforcing government regulations – ‘right waste, right place’. You will be key to planning, monitoring and delivering compliance and enforcement activity within your area of waste regulation, to drive a circular economy. The role involves both field and desk work within a dispersed team, and may require travel within your base area.

Responsibilities

Responding to incidents is a central part of the role. You will be required to have an incident role and be available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment; full training and flexible arrangements are available to support your incident role.

  • Ability to handle difficult or confrontational conversations.
  • Your base team is the South East packaging producer team; travel is expected.
  • Excellent influencing skills with the ability to develop good relations in complex environments.
  • Experience of producing accurate reports; data collation, analysis and interpretation using Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple demands on time in a prioritised manner to achieve outcomes and deliver against plans.
