We are currently looking for a Research Data Linkages and Data Provisioning Lead to join our Clinical Practice Research Datalink team in the Safety and Surveillance group. This is a full-time opportunity, on a 24-month fixed term contract/internal move or temporary promotion basis.

The role will be based in 10 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf London, E14 4PU. Please be aware that this role can only be worked in the UK and not overseas. Government departments and agencies are working towards implementing a minimum 60% attendance in office sites.

We are currently implementing a flexible, hybrid way of working, with a minimum of 4 days per month working on site to enable the collaboration and contact with partners and stakeholders needed to deliver MHRA business.

What’s the role? This role offers an exciting opportunity to help build on the CPRD’s 30-years of providing data for drug safety and epidemiological studies, resulting in over 3,500 peer-reviewed publications investigating drug safety, use of medicines, effectiveness of health policy, health care delivery and disease risk factors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Delivery of Team Operations and Priorities
  • Lead Data Linkages and Data Provisioning
  • Enhance Observational Research Services and Lead Strategic Projects and Stakeholder Activities
  • Disseminate Research and Data Characterisation Outputs and People Management

Who are we looking for?

  • Have a PhD, or equivalent experience, in epidemiology, medical statistics or a related discipline
  • Ensure delivery of timely quality outcomes, through providing the right resources to do the job, reviewing and adjusting performance expectations and rewarding success
  • Make clear, practical and manageable plans for service delivery, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory and security requirements in service delivery, and proactively managing risks and identifying solutions
  • Have advanced project management skills with experience of allocating team resources across multiple projects aligned with strategic priorities
