This team has an outstanding reputation across the Living Sector, acting for a mix of PLC, regional and SME housebuilders, registered providers of affordable housing, land promoters, and PRS investors & developers on high-value residential and mixed-use development projects.

The opportunity: the team is growing fast with a strong client base and secure panel appointments. You’ll be exposed to high-value development work—from conditional contracts and transfers to options, rights of pre-emption, collaboration agreements and development agreements. The focus is on complex projects where your input will matter. You’ll have client contact from the outset and will be encouraged to participate in business development and wider marketing to raise both your profile and the team’s.

Responsibilities

  • Work on complex, high-value residential development projects, including conditional contracts, transfers, options, rights of pre-emption, collaboration agreements and development agreements.
  • Provide strong client contact from the outset and participate in business development activities, client events, article contributions, and wider marketing to raise profiles.

Qualifications & Who They’re Looking For

  • Minimum of 3 years’ PQE as a Solicitor (England & Wales).
  • Solid experience in residential development work, ideally with a large regional or city firm.
  • Knowledge of the UK living sector with expertise in housebuilding and/or strategic land; experience in build-to-rent and affordable housing is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to manage and grow client relationships.
