Role Due to continued success, gunner cooke’s Real Estate Lawyer is seeking a Residential Conveyancing fee‑earner to join their team in Manchester or London. The position is suitable for full‑time or part‑time candidates, with a minimum of 20 hours per week, and will operate on a hybrid working model. (For more experienced candidates, remote applications may be considered.) Responsibilities
General administration and support Drafting legal documents and correspondence Making effective use of information and case management/filing systems (electronic or hard copy) Managing file opening and the financial management of matters Taking detailed instructions from clients and providing regular updates on progress Interacting with clients directly, under supervision Managing case timelines and key deadlines Placing sale transactions acting for developers Handling transfer of ownership Carrying out Land Registry searches and liaising with the Land Registry Managing the completion and post‑completion process, including Companies House and Land Registry applications Monitoring emails and responding where necessary and applicable Preparing lease reports and other document summaries Scheduling title deeds and documents
Personal Specification To be successful in the role you will be based in Manchester or London and have prior experience within property law. You should have strong experience using Microsoft Office, Adobe, DocuSign and be pro‑active, efficient, organised, keen to take the initiative and drive transactions forward.
Newly qualified / 1 PQE Qualified solicitor, residential conveyancer or CiLEX qualified individual Prior experience in real estate or residential conveyancing is essential Excellent communicator, both written and oral Accuracy and strong attention to detail Ability to build strong rapport and establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels Strong IT skills (specifically Outlook, Microsoft Excel/Word and data rooms) Ability to plan work and prioritise tasks Ability to take initiative with tasks
