This role will be key in achieving our strategic market and client ambitions. We are seeking to hire a part-time Resource Marketing Manager to strengthen our MCBD function.In this part-time role the Resources Marketing Manager will support the development of Arup’s strategic marketing approach for the Resources Business, working closely with the relevant Global Business/Leader and leadership network. A critical role within the context of Arup’s new Integrated Business Plan, our Resources Marketing Manager will support effective market positioning for the business by working closely with business marketers in our regions on the joint development of marketing plans and campaigns, ensuring we employ consistent messaging and align activities while allowing tailoring for local market dynamics.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Marketing - Strategy and PlanningSupport the development of a client-led, strategic marketing approach for the development of business marketing and ensure its implementation and alignment with Arup’s Integrated Business Plan, long-range business priorities, and shorter-term opportunity pipeline.Implement, monitor and role-model standard approaches to business marketing planning in collaboration with fellow business and service marketers to achieve consistency and maintain quality.Advise Business Leaders, their leadership teams, and regional business marketers on effective marketing and communications approaches and evolution of marketing skills and capacity to support successful achievement of our business plans, priorities and opportunity pipeline.Team Leadership and CollaborationCollaborate with fellow global service/business marketers, regional marketers, to ensure efficient and effective delivery of planned business marketing activity.Collaborate with the Global Pursuits and Global Client Leads to ensure that business marketing, client relationship management and priority pursuits plans align with and support each other.Plan and deliver effectively with communications and corporate affairs colleagues to ensure our business/ service priorities are well represented in external engagement activities and corporate communications.Research, Data Analysis and ReportingWorking collaboratively with Global Market Research Lead, to commission market research that generates actionable insights and recommendations to inform businesses as they develop their plans and priorities.Build a strong understanding of market trends and dynamics, competitor positioning and client needs to inform marketing plans.Working collaboratively with teams led by the Global Head of Business Growth and Systems, Global Marketing Strategy, Planning and Development, Global Head of Corporate Communications, and Global Head of Corporate Affairs and Partnerships to establish an agreed set of metrics and a programme of regular reporting to support effective measurement and analysis of the reach and impact of business marketing.Marketing OperationsContribute to the development and successful implementation and management of a marketing and communications scheduling system, working collaboratively with the Global Head of Corporate Communications to ensure scheduling supports our businesses.Qualifications and accreditationUndergraduate, further degree or experience equivalent to a degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, Management, Commerce or Economics; and/or a postgraduate professional qualification or accreditation in marketing.Knowledge and experience7+ years of experience in marketing, with a proven track record in the marketing of high-value services in a large, multinational organisation.Experience in a similar strategic marketing role including marketing planning and delivery.Deep understanding of market dynamics and client needs relevant to Arup’s business and broader industry context, including knowledge of political, economic and social trends.Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, including market, competitor and client analysis.Skills and attributesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening and influencing.Proven ability to build effective organisational networks and trust-based, collaborative working relationships with reports, peers, leaders and other stakeholders.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.High level of personal integrity, professionalism, and inclusive leadership.
