Acorn by Synergie is seeking a Buying Coordinator to join a vibrant and forward-thinking team based near Swindon.

About the Role:

This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop or advance their career in procurement. Previous buying experience is advantageous but not essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel and other IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Procurement:
   • Lead and manage procurement of goods and services to ensure a competitive supply chain.
   • Develop and oversee procurement objectives supporting commercial and operational goals.
2. Team Leadership:
   • Manage procurement team and department, ensuring efficiency and alignment with company objectives.
   • Provide mentorship and support to team members.
3. Supplier Management:
   • Select suppliers, issue inquiries, evaluate quotations, negotiate contracts, and develop supplier relationships.
4. Project Support:
   • Collaborate with internal stakeholders for procurement processes.
   • Assist in selecting labor teams and subcontractors.
   • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of equipment.
5. Process Management:
   • Monitor supply chain compliance, prepare schedules, and report on performance.

Key Requirements:

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Qualification or partial qualification in CIPS, CIOB, or RICS (advantageous).
• Minimum education: GCSEs.
• Full UK driving license (role location not accessible by public transport).
