Retirement Guidance Associate – Permanent

Location: Edinburgh (We believe in the power of in-person collaboration, and our hybrid model requires colleagues to be in the office a minimum of 40% of their time)

Salary: A competitive salary from £30,400 - £38,000 depending on the experience you can bring

Responsibilities

As a Retirement Guidance Associate within our Aegon Assist team you will be responsible for providing telephone-based support and guidance to new or existing Aegon customers to provide sufficient, relevant information to allow them to make financial planning decisions regarding their pension pre, at, or post-retirement.

Responsibilities will include having focused discussions and informing the customer of all the relevant options, risks and benefits as well as answering any technical questions to enable them to make an informed decision. There may be very occasional travel to help the team and wider business to deliver in-person events.

You will deliver a first-class customer experience for colleagues over telephone. We are looking for someone who has the ability to prioritise and organise a demanding workload to meet volume targets within a regulatory environment.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service skills.
• A base knowledge of pension products.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Previously worked well as part of a team and with other departments to help develop potential customer referrals.
• Strong problem-solving skills - the ability to take control of a situation and be proactive in finding solutions.

• A non-contributory pension between 8%-12%. We\'re enhancing our pension from November 2025. If you put in 7% of your salary, we\'ll top it up by a further 13%.
