Review Manager (Market Oversight & Delivery) FTC on a 4-6 month basis. Join a high-performing central review team within a leading market oversight and regulatory environment. As a Review Manager, you will be responsible for assessing the capabilities of new market entrants and existing firms to ensure they meet the maturity standards expected under a principles-based oversight framework. This role plays a key part in safeguarding the integrity and resilience of the broader insurance/reinsurance market and offers exposure to senior decision-makers across the sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth assessments of managing agents and new entrants to ensure compliance with key regulatory and operational principles.
  • Lead and coordinate the review process, including stakeholder engagement, documentation, and outcomes tracking.
  • Deliver expert-level advice and feedback to senior executives, including board-level stakeholders.
  • Analyse large data sets and technical documentation to support review conclusions.
  • Ensure consistent interpretation and application of the oversight framework across the market.
  • Deliver sensitive or commercially important messaging in a professional and constructive manner.
  • Collaborate with multiple internal oversight teams and contribute to cross-functional review delivery.
  • Track and follow up on post-approval actions and improvement plans to ensure satisfactory resolution.
  • Support regular progress reviews with new applicants and contribute to ongoing improvements in review methodology.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Insurance or reinsurance industry experience.
  • Strong review, audit, or assurance background.
  • Demonstrated experience advising on risk management, performance, or regulatory matters.
  • Comfortable engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse technical information and produce actionable insights.
  • Confident communicator, capable of delivering difficult messages clearly and tactfully.
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills.
  • Prior experience working within a principles-based regulatory or oversight framework.
  • Knowledge of operational resilience, claims management, customer outcomes, or governance standards.
  • Strong risk assessment and analytical skills.
  • Forensic questioning and information-gathering techniques.
  • Ability to work independently within a matrix organisation.
  • Commercially aware and customer-focused decision-making.
  • Comfortable providing pragmatic, risk-based solutions.
