Overview

Reward Lead (12-month FTC) role at MTC - Manufacturing Technology Centre

Location: Coventry | Job Type: Maternity cover (fixed term 12 months) | Working hours: 36 hours per week (fully flexible working week and hybrid options available)

Main Responsibilities

  • Create models and build insight to enable the business to understand and optimise total reward.
  • Conduct competition analysis and benchmarking; sourcing and utilising external resources where appropriate.
  • Conduct modelling and costings for business transformation impacting rewards.
  • Provide detailed analysis/dashboards of Group Reward data and adaptable explanation of what it means to stakeholders.
  • Support the delivery of current and future reward and recognition projects as defined within the People Plan/Strategy.
  • Carry out job evaluations in partnership with internal stakeholders to ensure role alignment with organisational design.
  • Undertake annual salary benchmarking and reviews.
  • Support the execution and delivery of the annual pay review cycle by working collaboratively across the business and leading improvements to the process.
  • Support the preparation of data for external compensation and benefits surveys and pay gap reports.
  • Responsible for tracking KPI performance, including in relation to management/other bonus targets.
  • Support the day to day running of the benefits processes, seeking and implementing continuous improvement opportunities, and supporting additional reporting requests.
  • Keep informed of regulatory development and their implications relevant to rewards at all times.
  • Support the management and regular reviews of HR policies; as well as when required, analysing trends, interpreting these and advising accordingly.
  • Support other work within the remit of the People Experience Team; which may include employee relations; equality, diversity and inclusion; and wellbeing.

Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience

  • Highly effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to build long-term and collaborative relationships at all levels of the team, and with stakeholders across the business.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to produce data, reports, and presentations clear and concisely to a high standard appropriate to the project and customer audience.
  • Well organised and able to manage multiple projects or areas of work in parallel to a high standard.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to analyse complex data with excellent attention to detail and demonstrate the ability to influence and inform decisions/recommendations based on the information and data available.
  • Demonstrates good leadership and influencing skills to facilitate and lead stakeholders, ensuring a collaborative and inclusive approach.

Desirable Skills/Qualifications/Experience

  • Knowledge of and a proactive approach to problem-solving tools and techniques to support the identification of opportunities for enhanced service delivery.
  • Project management experience desirable to drive and generate innovative ideas and to manage the implementation of data-driven initiatives.
  • Background in HR, and experience of Reward/Compensation and Benefits is beneficial; ability to promote change and innovation within Reward and Recognition while engaging others.
  • Familiarity with HR systems.
