The firm supports a broad and diverse client base, ranging from small sole traders and partnerships to owner‑managed businesses (OMBs), SMEs, larger corporates, overseas subsidiaries, and not‑for‑profit and charity organisations.

The successful applicant will be joining at a pivotal time of positive change and expansion, with the opportunity to play a leading role in shaping the future of the firm’s audit service line.

Based in the firm’s South Yorkshire HQ, you will take a key leadership role within the audit function.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a varied portfolio of audit clients across a wide range of industries and turnover levels.
  • Acting as one of the firm’s Audit Responsible Individual, independently signing off audits.
  • Leading the strategic direction, development, and growth of the firm’s audit service line.
  • Driving business development initiatives to expand the firm’s client base.
  • Overseeing, mentoring, and developing the audit team to ensure technical excellence and professional growth.
  • Maintaining and promoting the highest standards of audit quality, compliance, and client service.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be ACA or CA qualified and a Registered Individual (RI) with audit signing authority.
  • Bring experience gained within a small, medium, mid‑tier, or top‑tier accountancy practice.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, commercial insight, and a commitment to maintaining exceptional audit quality.
