Our Explorer Programme – You’ll join our explorer programme, a 2-year programme designed to give you depth and breadth of experience. Participating in job-based bespoke training from the start enabling you to go fully-equipped into your role as you embark on the first of three eight-month long rotations.

For The Graduate Programme – Please be advised that the 2026 Risk Graduate Programme is not one which we can offer sponsorship for at this time. Accordingly, applicants for this position will need to have the legal right to work in the UK on a full time basis from August 2026 to August 2028.

Following The Graduate Programme – The Risk business area is currently deemed out of scope for sponsorship. You would not be eligible to receive a Skilled Worker Visa from Barclays at the end of the Graduate Programme if you obtain a role in this area, as it currently stands.

Purpose of the role – To support the day-to-day operations of the risk division by monitoring the bank’s risk profile, identifying and managing risks and providing insights and expertise to support senior colleagues to make informed decisions.

Accountabilities

  • Execution of small research projects to support risk identification and strategic decision making. Prepare presentations and reports to communicate the findings to senior management.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
  • Participation in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Identification and management of risks including reviewing and challenging business propositions.
  • Management of business and client relationships under steadily decreasing supervision.
  • Support of risk management and decision making by using financial models and strategies.
