Role Overview

Ageas Insurance is seeking a Risk & Governance Underwriter to oversee robust fairness assessments across product lifecycle, ensuring regulatory compliance and valuable customer outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Drive robust oversight of Ageas products, covering design, operation, and distribution.
  • Govern product distribution, ensuring distributors, co‑manufacturers, and internal teams meet regulatory requirements and risk appetite.
  • Contribute to overall product reporting, aligning focus areas and providing a holistic view of products and distribution.
  • Recommend appropriate actions to address concerns and improve customer outcomes, including internal and external initiatives.
  • Support regular and ad‑hoc regulatory tasks, including MID compliance.
  • Lead management of Risk Events and underwriting operational risks.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills with ability to present data clearly.
  • Excellent communication – ability to explain detailed information logically.
  • Proactive, self‑motivated, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of insurance regulatory environment (e.g., Consumer Duty, PROD) affecting Ageas' compliance.
  • Knowledge of insurance product design, sale, administration, and distributor relationships.
