Bidwells is looking for a Rural Surveyor to join our leading team, and can be based in either our Cambridge, Oxford or Norwich office (with hybrid working). We are looking to speak with any qualified rural surveyors at surveyor through to Associate level. The successful applicant will be a productive and profitable fee earner, ideally specialising in areas of diversification and professional work.

The Rural team at Bidwells manages, consults, and offers strategic advice on over a million acres of farmland and estates across the country, working with some of the UK's top-performing rural businesses and landowners including Cambridge and Oxford colleges, institutions, private estates, and family farm businesses.

Within the 60+ strong team there is a vast array of knowledge coming from graduates through to equity partners. We pride ourselves on the progression and development we offer our people and within Rural, this is no exception. The team specialise in estate and farm strategy and management, professional work, renewable energy, diversification, rural agency, and natural capital and biodiversity net gain.

What you’ll be doing:

You will get the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects for some fascinating clients. You'll be involved with a wide variety of work including, but not limited to:

About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in professional work, diversification and rural planning

• Numerate and competent in use of spreadsheets and other applications

• Excellent business writing skills

• Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise and deal with competing deadlines and workload

• Friendly and professional approach, good networking abilities

• Demonstrable team player

• Accuracy and attention to detail

• Strong people skills with an ability to communicate via different mediums at all levels
