Who We Are Looking For As part of the Professional Services organization within Mercatus, the Senior Consultant will ensure successful Implementation and Configuration Services (ICS) to meet customer requirements while promoting adoption and providing a channel for the sale of other company Software and Services. The role takes the handoff from a finalized Sales contract to an engaging, multi‑month consulting engagement, and supports business development throughout the sales process. It combines sales, client management and operations, working closely with all company areas and gaining a deep understanding of the business. Why this role is important to us The team is part of Charles River Development (CRD), now within State Street. CRD creates enterprise investment‑management software solutions for large institutions across institutional investment, wealth management, and hedge funds, including the State Street Alpha open front‑to‑back platform launched in 2019. Delivering next‑generation infrastructure with emerging technologies like AI and Blockchain is a core challenge and opportunity. What You Will Be Responsible For

Own client engagement and program management of Professional Services deployment. Manage the customer relationship throughout the entire ICs lifecycle. Guide customers in decisions and consensus, driving deadlines assertively. Lead requirements gathering to ensure successful configuration tailored to the client’s needs. Design ideal deployment outcomes, with a heavy focus on end‑visuals in Business Intelligence for client reporting and analysis. Define deployment options and outline key advantages and disadvantages. Coordinate individual Business Managers responsible for various elements of customer integration. Deliver final configuration and complete onboarding. Establish an organization change management (OCM) plan, including leading live training and supporting post‑ICS adoption phases with the Account Manager. Identify opportunities for other software or services within current customers through ICs engagements.

What We Value

2+ years of implementing SaaS solutions for private markets, i‑banks, or Fortune 500 companies. Experience in private credit/debt, infrastructure, private equity, or fund/portfolio management. Leading change‑management efforts across large, multi‑regional enterprises. Ability to communicate effectively from C‑level to entry‑level employees. Strong interpersonal skills for managing client relationships. Analytical, problem‑solving, and detail‑oriented mindset. Proactive in seeking solutions and improving performance. Experience with Business Intelligence dashboards or data modeling (highly preferred). Experience delivering corporate training, proof‑of‑concepts, and promoting software usage (preferred).

Education & Preferred Qualifications

Degree in finance or business preferred. CAIA or CFA designation highly preferred.

Additional Requirements

Ability to travel as required for customer engagements (~30 %), including internationally. Adaptability and desire to work in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
