What’s the role?

As Safer Communities Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in delivering the Council’s Crime and Disorder Partnership priorities. You’ll work across teams and with external partners to support strategic programmes that reduce harm, crime, and violence in Lewisham. From coordinating data and intelligence to supporting key initiatives like the Serious Violence Duty and Safer Lewisham Partnership Plan, you’ll help ensure a joined-up, evidence-led approach to community safety.

What we’re looking for

We’re seeking a confident and collaborative coordinator with a passion for community safety and strategic impact. You’ll bring experience in data management, project support, and multi-agency working, alongside strong communication skills and a proactive mindset. Location

The job is primarily based in Catford, Lewisham, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.

Salary

£42,912 - £44,235 per annum (SO2)

N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
