Salaried GP - 4 Sessions and above - £11,000 per session with pay review pending

The doctor team is currently made up of partners, salaried GPs, GP retainers, regular locums and we are looking to strengthen our team by recruiting additional salaried GPs as some of our GPs have changed their working pattern and extensive property developments are taking place around us.
We offer you an excellent opportunity to get involved in training and education with space for GP registrars and multiple groups of medical students. We also support primary care research, and nurse training and development. We are a town-based practice with rural dispensing branches with over 18,000 registered patients over 4 sites. The main site is in Cullompton, only 20 minutes’ drive from the vibrant city of Exeter and very close to the M5. - Ensured protected regular admin time for salaried GPs
- Reduced our workload safely: o Implemented a trained admin team who process all clinical documents
- Appointed a clinical IT lead with designated session each week to proactively reduce doctor admin, using technology to complete referrals and forms quickly and audits and data analysis to increase patient safety
- Employed 2 Care Co-ordinators to triage duty shift calls and deal with e-consults
- Employed a Pharmacist to manage discharge summaries and medication queries
- Employed 2 Paramedics who complete most home visits
- Employed a First Contact MSK Specialist reducing unnecessary GP appointments o Employed a Specialist Mental Health Practitioner to see patients previously requiring excessive GP contact
- Implemented a team approach to tackling the duty shift (always at least 2 doctors plus Nurse Practitioners, Paramedics, Clinical Pharmacist and Care Co-ordinators) and are further reviewing our triage processes currently
- Have a Youth Forum and Community Group to support our innovative CYP and adult social prescribing schemes, offering support to a whole range of issues including isolated elderly and young people with mental health issues, reducing GP burden
- Appointed a Care Home Specialist Team of a Nurse Practitioner and an OT who liaise directly with our on-site District Nursing and Rehab teams
- Hosted an extensive diary of social events for our team and their families
There is great support from the dedicated partner team who meet as often as possible. We run daily morning team huddles and mid-morning clinical coffee meetings. We meet for lunch daily, in our Health Garden when the weather allows. We can allocate you a mentor if you wish. We have a in house quarterly CPD programme, 6 weeks annual leave plus 1 week study leave.
