Main duties of the job
- Developing and implementing business development strategies to expand our client base and market share
- Creating and executing a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed targets
- Building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities for service growth
- Leading tenders, bids and contract negotiations to secure favourable terms
- Creating targeted marketing materials and campaigns that enhance brand recognition
- Representing Prometheus at industry events and positioning the company as a thought leader
- Proactively seeking new business opportunities through networking and market research
- Providing accurate sales forecasts and market insights to the leadership team
- Mentoring and managing the business development team to achieve strategic goals

We are looking for a results driven Sales and Marketing Director with the energy, ambition and tenacity to open doors, win contracts and position Prometheus as the first choice solution in our sector.
You will combine strategic thinking with hands on sales activity from leading compelling tender pitches and building influential networks to crafting campaigns that showcase our value. If you thrive on turning opportunities into long term partnerships and can inspire clients to choose us, this is your chance to take the wheel of our growth journey.
This is a field based role with regional travel and flexibility to meet business needs. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to deliver on our ambitious growth plans.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of the NHS and or private healthcare sector, ideally in the mental health or social care field
Experience
- Proven experience in business development, marketing or sales, ideally within private healthcare, NHS or Local Authority commissioning.
- Track record of winning high-value contracts and building long-term client relationships
- Experience leading tender processes, bid writing and contract negotiations
- Excellent ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders including senior decision makers
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously
- Commercial mindset with strong analytical, negotiation and presentation skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all organisational levels
- Management or leadership experience with the ability to inspire and develop a team
