Job Description: Maintenance Estimator - Salford Quays / Hybrid working available
Due to an extraordinary period of growth, Marlowe Fire & Security is seeking a Maintenance Estimator who is focused, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented to support the completion of major bid opportunities and sales proposals.
The Maintenance Estimator will play a critical role in shaping our commercial success by creating precise and competitive pricing for Fire & Security maintenance contracts, including end-user contracts and framework agreements with facility management companies.
Main Responsibilities
- Cost Estimation & Financial Modelling
- Develop robust pricing models for Fire & Security maintenance services, including labour, materials, subcontractor costs, compliance, and overheads.
- Utilise advanced Excel techniques for detailed estimates and summaries.
- Ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with profitability targets.
- Work with Sales, Bids, Operations, and Procurement teams to gather information and validate plans.
- Customize proposals to client needs, address queries, and support sales negotiations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market rates, and competitor offerings.
- Ensure proposals adhere to industry regulations and maintain organized records.
- Prepare reports on costs, margins, and risks; present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Identify process improvements and contribute to tool development.

Minimum Requirements
- Proven experience in estimating, pricing, or financial modelling in Fire & Security or similar industries.
- Strong understanding of maintenance services, frameworks, and compliance standards.
- Advanced Excel skills, familiarity with CRM and estimation tools preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first approach.
- Higher Education qualification or equivalent preferred.
