This position is based out of our 5 Howick Pl, London SW1P 1WG, UK office.

With strong growth expected, the LIONS Commercial Partnerships team is seeking a Sales Development Representative to join our team. This role reports to the Global Head of New Business and focuses on prospecting and qualifying new business opportunities for global advertising and creativity clients.

Our award-winning team works with world-class clients such as LinkedIn, Amazon, Microsoft, Spotify, Adobe, TikTok, Pinterest, Netflix, Google and more on creative partnership solutions.

Our team is responsible for driving new business revenue against our events portfolio. The candidate will identify and qualify new opportunities to build the sales pipeline in partnership with the new business team.

You will provide a full-service sales approach, from initial prospect identification through qualification, discovery calls, and handoff to closers. We seek an ambitious business developer who can uncover opportunities and generate qualified meetings in an organized and high-quality manner.

Successful candidates will have a year or more experience in sales development, outbound prospecting, or a relevant industry environment and are motivated by a fast-paced, autonomous role. We welcome applicants with a passion for creativity. Our team provides training and support to succeed in pipeline generation.

Key attributes for success include top-tier prospecting and lead qualification skills, excellent written and verbal communication, curiosity about the creative and marketing industry, and the ability to meet or exceed outreach and meeting targets.

Key accountabilities

  • Use the world-class Cannes Lions brand to drive new business development by outbound calls, emails, qualifying leads, taking discovery notes, drafting proposals, creating sales presentations, and developing targeted prospecting campaigns
  • Coordinate prospecting and research activities to support new client acquisition
  • Collaborate with internal LIONS teams (retention, marketing, content, operations, awards & finance) to develop holistic pitches
  • Prepare compelling sales decks and assets for the New Business team
  • Maintain accurate lead, prospect, pipeline, and activity information in Salesforce and assist with reporting and tracking
  • Provide on-site operational support during the Cannes Lions Festival period, including liaison with prospects and onsite meetings
  • Be willing and able to travel for networking events, industry conferences, and team offsites
  • Achieve designated performance targets including qualified meetings, pipeline generation, and new business KPIs

Qualifications

  • Interest and/or experience in the advertising, tech and creative industries
  • Excellent literacy and numeric skills
  • Confident verbal communication skills
  • Computer literate, with Microsoft Office and internal CRM experience
  • 1+ years’ experience in sponsorship or digital media sales
  • Evidence of demonstrable success and growth

Second language skills are not required, though French and/or Spanish would be valuable.
